Adult Learners Celebrate GCSE Success in Buckinghamshire

Celebrating our GCSE Learners
Buckinghamshire Adult Learning proudly celebrated the achievements of 66 adult learners who successfully completed their GCSE Maths and English qualifications this year. The celebration marked an significant milestone for learners who have balanced work, family commitments, and personal challenges to pursue their education.
This year, an impressive 73% of learners passed their GCSE courses compared to the 58.3% pass rate nationally—an outstanding achievement that reflects their dedication and the high-quality support provided by our tutors.
Learners joined the programme for a variety of inspiring reasons: to improve their career prospects, to better themselves, to be positive role models for their families, and to open new pathways for the future. Their success is a testament to the power of lifelong learning and personal growth.
Jacqueline Wilson, Principal for Adult & Community Learning, said:
“We are incredibly proud of every learner who has achieved their GCSEs this year. Their commitment and resilience are truly inspiring, and we’re thrilled to celebrate their success.”
If you’re thinking, “That could be me next year,” now is the perfect time to take the first step. Buckinghamshire Adult Learning is offering ‘Are You Ready for GCSE English and Maths?’ assessments to help learners start a fast-track, one-year GCSE course from September.
