Welcome to the latest edition of Learning Bytes, your quarterly e-newsletter from Buckinghamshire Adult Learning.
We hope that you are all well and coping with the changes that the coronavirus has brought us all in a relatively short period of time. This is obviously a time of great uncertainty, and hence anxiety, but we have already and will continue to do our utmost to support Buckinghamshire and provide ongoing education for all.
We have now launched our new range of online courses and over 720 of you have been taking part in our live and interactive online sessions. We still have a number of online courses that are available for you to join such as Introduction to Mindfulness, Pastel Drawing for Complete Beginners, Indian Cooking and Spanish for Beginners and we will be launching some more taster sessions and short courses after half term.
One learner commented on her experience of online learning,
‘I think as the weeks go on we are all learning to use and adapt to learning and doing classes online, I think inevitably it’s a ‘work in progress’ for us all. I am very grateful to Adult Learning for everything they have done and are doing to run these classes this term’.
We hope that you will be able to return to our centres for some of our courses in September but we await guidance from the government and the Department of Education. We would however like to find out how you feel about returning to the classroom.
How concerned are you and would you be willing to attend in person? Please complete this short survey so that we can plan our course offer accordingly.
Stay safe and stay happy.
Best wishes,
Buckinghamshire Adult Learning
