Buckinghamshire Adult Learning is celebrating after receiving their best ever results in maths and English GCSE courses. GCSEs are graded 9 to 1, with 9 being the highest and grade 4 a standard pass. This year, of the 87 adult learners studying with us, aged between 17 to 78 years old, 85% achieved 9-4 grades in maths which is a 19% improvement on last year and 77% of the learners achieved 9-4 grades in English language which is an 9% improvement on last year.
Congratulations to a number of our learners who achieved 8 grades and Buckinghamshire Adult Learning’s Adult Learner of the Year, Leia Oxley was also really pleased with her results.
Jackie Wilson, Principal of Adult Learning said, ‘A huge congratulations to all learners. This is a big achievement for many of our learners who have often not had great experiences before and study whilst also working, looking after families and managing a whole range of other demands. The results are a well-deserved accolade to our tutors, LSAs, coordinators, administrators and support staff who have worked so hard to ensure our learners have received every opportunity to achieve their fabulous results.’
