The Education Select Committee would like to hear your views and experiences of adult learning. On average this survey takes around 3 minutes.
What is adult learning? Adult learning can be broken down into:
• Formal learning – learning that is intended to lead to a nationally recognised qualification;
• Non-formal learning – a course or taught class that does not lead to a nationally recognised qualification;
• Informal learning – self-directed learning with the aim of improving knowledge of a subject
This questionnaire focuses mainly on formal and non-formal learning. The Education Committee is looking into the benefits of adult skills and lifelong learning to the individual, society and the wider economy. They will also explore the level of support available to learners, and the role played by local authorities/combined authority areas in providing adult education.
