Adult Learners in High Wycombe are set to benefit from brand new facilities as the newly refurbished Millbrook Adult Learning Centre officially opened its doors last week.
The centre on Mill End Road, was officially opened on Friday 12 October by Buckinghamshire County Council Cabinet Member for Education and Skills Mike Appleyard.
Over the last year, a programme of refurbishment has taken place to provide three new classrooms, two with ICT equipment, a new examination room and a new office. The whole centre has been repainted throughout, with new carpets and vinyl flooring installed, to provide a more welcoming and comfortable learning environment.
Learners, tutors, LSAs, volunteers, partners and staff from Buckinghamshire Adult Learning attended the event. They had the opportunity to view displays from a range of adult learning teams, network with colleagues and experiment with iPads and interactive smartboards.
The centre runs a variety of courses including English, Maths, English for Speakers of Other Languages courses and courses for Adults with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities.
