Tutor Christine Marks continued her sewing courses online during lockdown and her learners have said that it’s given them a lifeline. Here’s what they said:
The last 16 weeks of online learning have been a lifeline for me because I have been in Lockdown since October. Learning new skills each week has kept me focused during these long winter months.

The challenges of the last 11 weeks, have been far outweighed by the enjoyment of my continued learning, with the support and guidance of Christine. I have completed a denim jacket, which I would never have achieved by myself. Thursday morning, seeing the other sewers, has been one of the highlights of my week. Nothing has stopped the pleasure of seeing everyone and sharing their projects. I am looking forward to returning to classroom learning, but with Christine’s enthusiasm, the online experience has been a positive one.

I’ve loved the fact we’ve been able to still get together and take the time to progress our sewing. It’s been useful to be able to discuss issues with Christine and still get her support. It’s been challenging when we can’t be face to face but we have been very resourceful!
